My 1510-IT came with a faulty battery cover top for the rain guage. There should be a metallic clip mounted to the cover to tie the 2 batteries together electrically. Mine had nothing there. I soldered a wire between the 2 batteries and used some cardboard under the cover to make sure the batteries were pushed down into their holder. Problem solved!

I can't imagine this is systemic but it happened to me.

Either the sensor is defective or the receiver is, toss a coin.

Hi,two of the three cups on the wind sensor have broken off and i am now looking to see if the piece with the cups can be replace. will the unit record with one cup?thanksronald rosandichrrosandich1

Hello Ronald

No it won't accurately record Wind Speed because it is out of balance and lacking two parts of its motive power.

Here is a link to a new wind vane. Or you could superglue the bowl of a plastic spoon to it. Use Superglue Gel.

My outside temperature and humidity sensor appears to have failed. I'd like to buy a replacement. 433 MHz. The system is WS-7395U. Please advise price. [email protected]

The WS-7395U uses the La Crosse TX8U outdoor temperature and humidity sensor. That part has a $49.99 MSRP. It is $46.95 from La Crosse; see to order the part. Other vendors that I checked do not have the sensor in stock for sale separately.

I hope this helps.

Ws 2800 rain not displayed

I tried this and it worked fine
A Factory Reset will erase the connection between the Display and the Thermo-hygro sensor and allow a fresh connection to be re-established. It is recommended to have the display and all sensors 5-10 feet apart for this restart.

Press and hold the SET button until you enter the program menu. Press and release the SET button until you see 'rES oFF' flashing.

Use the UP ARROW key or DOWN ARROW key to turn rES on.

Press the SET key to confirm and a countdown timer will begin counting down from 127. When the timer displays dOnE, you must remove the batteries from the display for 10 minutes

While the batteries are out of the display, also remove the batteries from the Thermo-hygro sensor and the Rain sensor. Wait 15 minutes.

Gently key the wind sensor one time to activate the sensor.

Insert fresh alkaline batteries into the Thermohygro sensor and Rain sensor make sure to check polarity with the markings on the battery cover and inside the battery compartment. Wait 2 minutes.

INSTALL BATTERIES INTO DISPLAY: Insert fresh alkaline batteries into the Display. Make sure to check polarity with the markings inside the battery compartment
15 MINUTES: Wait 15 minutes for the outdoor weather data to display. If the outdoor data displays dashes after waiting for 15 minutes, repeat the steps of restart.

The sensor from my weather station is not registering outside temperature

I've had the same problem since I bought this unit 2+ years ago; when the outside temperature moves into the freezing zone, the sensor stops transmitting. I contacted Lacrosse-- all they could suggest was change the batteries. My solution: throw it in the trash!
