How do you break the ice on level 710 - Refrigerators

Hi Elaine Soto, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. I don't understanc what you mean by "break the ice". Are your ice cubes not releasing? Is the ice storage bin melting and re-freezing into 1 giant mass of ice? Or are you getting ice build-up in the back of the freezer compartment? Please be a little more specific.

My refrigerator in-door ice maker jams up with ice. Some ice cubes are connected together. Maybe the freezer bins are overflowing. Does a defective timer at the end of the ice maker cause this?

We have one also. We put the ice in a bag and whack it in the sink to break up -- or simply toss. Make sure that the ice bucket in the door is not dirty, a beam is sent across it to sense ice level and turn the maker on/off. Also clean sensors either side of the door inside with soap and water. make sure it is dry.

The ice maker is making a noise that sounds like it is unable to break the ice. I took a hair dryer to it once and melted the ice until it was able to finally eject it. I thought it was a one time problem...

Sounds like the ice is sticking too well to the tray.
You could consider coating the surfaces with something nonstick, such as ArmorAll, or Pam.
Perhaps they sell a teflon coated tray?

Makes too much ice and it overflows

You cannot - this is a design issue that really cannot be fixed since the arm that senses the ice level cannot get caught up in the bucket or it would break every time you opened the freezer. Any fridge brand of this type has the same issue.

My garmini nuivi 710 went dead just like that in the middle of a journey.Told me was not getting pwer. The charger light is on.Bought it a few mths ago.Your advice?

The connector in the cradle is a high failure item, if you bend it slightly the inside connections break. Cheap fix is to run it off a USB cable to a power adaptor. Or, you can get a replacement cradle for about $35.

Model #36378285890 The ice maker will not shut off keeps dropping ice.

On mine the ice detection arm gets jammed with ice piled up so that it doesn't swing up. This in turn makes the machine think there's not enough ice, and it will overfill. Also, when it does catch some ice under it it will hold on to the ice, thinking it's full, when the catch bucket is depleted.

The fix would be a stronger motor on the arm enabling it to break through the ice. Costly.

We monitor the ice level, and just lift or drop the arm as required. A small price to pay.

Ice maker water level too high

generally, there is a screw adjustment for this. usually, turning it clockwise sends more water during fill period (makes period longer). try it and adjust clockwise or counter-clockwise as necessary. Now finding the screw...try prying (or unscrewing) off the plastic cover over what appears to be the ice-maker unit (may also be on back side of frig.
