Hi I received a Samsung SMTt190dn DVR with out camera and hard drive, but I got a new hard drive and few cameras not from Samsung. When ever a up it on, blue screen appears and later turn black, why? I press menu no display, DVR bottom, no display, why?

But be reminded that your file saved on fon memory will be deleted. If it doesnt work we can conclude that your camera was damaged due to the dropped you made.

With the power off, hold the camera in your palm and smack the front of the camera on your leg or arm. You might have to smack it a few time to get it to work. It has to do with the camera CDD lense (shuttle) being stuck. By smacking it around, it will free up the lense. Being extra gentle with it though. It worked for me. Hope this help.

Its possible the button board under the rear case has been shifted or is malfunctioning. You can try to remove the back case and see if you can realign, or reset your camera's button board. If this doesn't work, there are several online companies that can help -

SOURCE: DVR keeps restarting / rebooting

Jay .. if you still have the receiver. heres what you do. reset the receiver and when the blue screen comes up saying "Hello your directv receiver is starting up" On your remote type in 0 2 4 6 8 .. then it should go to a screen saying "new software found" . Let it download the update.. That should fix the issue .. However if it doesn't then it could be the hard drive. The pcb board on them usually fries.. but that can be ordered too... let me know how this works... you can email me at [email protected]
