If your system is old then reinstall the sound card driver from the driver CD that came with the system. If this does not solve your problem then you sound card has aged out. Please buy a PCI sound card and enjoy the music.

All ASUS motherboard purchased after November 1st, 1999 will carry 3 year warranty services. ASUS product warranty is based on the serial number printed.

Note: Warranty void for user removing serial number sticker on the motherboard .

If you want to repair it you'll need to take it back to the place that you purchased it from.

However, I have a suggestion first before returning it.
Take the new parts off and put the old ones back on, it the computer boots, then it's something about the new parts that are either not compatible, or they weren't installed correctly. You should check with ASUS.com and see if they support that PSU voltage and that video card first, because it's a nice board.

If you catch the error right after you run it, do a void rather than a credit. A credit could takes weeks to show up for a customer and they won't be happy with you.

Only gateway can let u know if it will void the warranty. Check there policy on upgrades in your warranty information first, if you area skilled tech i don't think it will be a problem but if u have no expirence leave it to the pros

If you want to use the flash memory card Sandisk then you will need the appropriate port and just plug it in. if you have no memory card reader ports then you will need to go to a computer store to buy one, if you mean you wish to move the memory card reader from the old computer to the new one that will require opening the case and will void any warranty you might have I would take the memory card reader down t the service center and the new computer and let them install it .

i assume you have a pci-e slot on the computer. get atlest the geforce 8600 with 256. would cost you around 6000 bucks.
