Depends on what type of screen you have and if you want to cut the protective layer or the actuall screen which on some tvs is 2 layers of thin glass with liquid in between. in that case no but if you just want the outer case then yes just cut it out of plexiglass or another thin transperent material.

My screen does not cover the whole screen. It is not on widescreen mode, but it is a shortened picture and some of what I am watching is cut off.

A lot depends on what the TV station cuts off also.
If they are transmitting a 5 X 4 picture, your TV will try an reproduce it giving cut off edges or top and bottom. It won,t fit properly.
Hope that helps to explain it.

I've try to figure out using the instruction booklet with no results. Any ideas where the screen to where extra messages in lower screen can be seen to be read?

I cant get the whole picture to fit the screen. When I watch games the score is cut off.

This is most likely a setting on your TV, like stretch, or fit, or possibly on your cable box, or dish receiver. look at your dish or cable box settings and turn off any screen adjustments. Example under wide screen setting is strech , zoom, letterbox (choose letterbox).
The TV has these settings as well.

Picture not fitting on screen

Unfortunately, this is an internal adjustment that can not be done by you without voiding the warranty. Call the store and request warranty service. You should not have to pay to get this resolved.
