BeoSound 9000: Similar problem, AND no AM/FM/Aux either

Carriage can only light up and shoot over to the selected CD. But before it can even grasp the disc, the carriage light turns off, and it slowly slides back to its home position, leaving only the little red light on.
I was hoping that it was only the CD function that wouldn't work. However, when I try turning on the AM/FM or an iPod plugged into the AUX, all I get is "RADIO 1" or "A.AUX" on the display, followed by a few clicks from the BeoSound 9000 and some pops from the speakers, before the unit shuts off, and only the little red light appears.

Sorry nothing straightforward springs to mind.A dealer repair seems the only solution.

I HAVE A BEOSOUND 3200 THAT I HAVE'NT USED FOR YEARS..I WANT TO HOOK IT UP TO MY AMPLIFIER TO PLAY THROUGH THE SPEAKERS CONNECTED TO AMP..HOW DO I HOOK UP TO THE AMP?

take the output from the beosound and place it to the input of the amp and then switch it to the front of the amp. eg. if the put the beosound output into cd, tape, phono, aux or game etc you must highlight it to the front of the amp so the sound can come through.

How do I unlock B&O beosound 9000? Hi, have bought a beosound 9000 from a lovely gentleman who gave me a fake pin code and has since buggered off, not answered emails, or letters, or calls regarding...

You can only go to a b&o dealer to obtain a mastercode for the product, you can then change the pin code to one of your own.Proof of identity will be required along with the serial number and preffably the name and address of the original owner and where it was purchased.

Beosound 9000 scratching top cd

You have to look up in the manual which way the two arrows on the underside of the unit are pointing when the CD player is located on the far right. The arrows are screw heads which appear in two holes on the underside. If, for instance, you are playing the unit lying flat on a shelf or table top, if you flip it up and forward to get at the arrows, the two arrows should both be pointing left. If you are mounting it on a wall, it's a different arrow combination. I had the problem you describe and this fixed it for me.

Can I plug an mp3 player into the unit ???

Hi, A wild guess, the 2 X RCA are lineout intended for external amplifier hence no AUX selection in your front panel buttons, but of course I might be off. I have similar problem with a Pioneer model and an MSI MP3 player. My solution was to install a stereo FM RF Modulator similar to Delphi SA10003 or an AudioVox Rf Modulator FMM100a. The MP3's output was fed to the modulator which turns it into an FM broadcast. The car stereo picks it up as an FM signal. Hope this gives you some idea. Good luck and kind regards.
