We have just purchased a Lg Dryer #DLE1310W which which is yet to be delivered. I have 2 questions: 1. The electrician needs to know if the dryer cord is a 3-prong or 4-prong cord. He is installing the necessary outlet in the location where we want to put the dryer. 2. We are also needing to have a contractor drill a 4" vent hole in this location for the dryer. In our purchase agreement I see that it incluses a semi-rigid dryer duct #M916. Will our contractor need to purchase any other venting materials in order to prepare this vent hole for the dryer connection? Thank you for answering our questions. Mrs. Gary W. Leonard

Lg driers are a 3 prong drier cord receptical he shouldn't have to purchase any other venting as long as the location of the dryer is not in an oddball place The parts included are for basic installation in an area such as the garage or room connected to the garage where the access to the outside is just through a outer wall. Mrs. Leonard good luck on your repairs and hope I helped you some.

LG dryer dle1310w won't start. There is power but the control panel looks dead.

first take top off(two screws in back and then slide top back about 2" and lift top up and off)
check for wire connections being fully seated to the control panel.

check that the drive belt is there and tight around drum. if broken, it disconnects a power switch to the motor.

Brand new Lg dryer 2501, error code ''nP''

I had the same issue with two new dryers. The rep on the phone said nP can also indicate a power issue. It turned out one of the wires in the outlet had broken off. Rewiring the outlet solved the problem.

Recheck the vent all the way to the outside and make sure the vent hose is not smashed behind the dryer.

Long time to dry complaints almost always are due to a restricted vent.

Remove vent to dryer and test a wet load if they dry ok then the house vent is at fault.
