If you consult the card that came with the remote, you will find several codes for "Sony". You will need to experiment with each code until you find one that will power the receiver on and off. Then you will have control of the receiver. If you don't have the card, then go to the web site and download a copy in PDF format from there. I have a lot of Sony stuff, and I have found that the codes varry according to the year the equipment was made and its function.
Hi there, can anyone help me? i cant seem to get my aiwa-d58 to get out of eco mode. no power, red light is on and every time i press the power button; the eco light clicks off and i no power supply to the whole unit. please help!
Open it up, check by where the power cord comes in there should be a fuse. Check to see if it is blown. If so it is an easy fix. Replace the fuse with same type. If not the capacitors are gone and that is expensive to replace.
