Ringtone instruction I have lost my book and need to change my ringtone

by going to settings and then sounds. But first you need to buy some ringtones or make some in itunes using instructions here.

Have not tried ringtones myself; but in every other case, if you go to install something a second time, it will not be charged.

Works for apps, books, music, etc. Just use your apple id.

Change your ringtone
. In Menu mode, select Settings - Phone profiles.
. Scroll to the phone profile you are using.
. Press <Options> - Edit.
. Select Voice call ringtone.
. Select a ringtone category - a ringtone.
. Press <Save>

Here's how you can change the ringtone/ message tone:

1. Go to Menu
2. Settings
3. Phone profiles
4. Edit Profile Name (this will be dependent on the profile that you'll use)
5. Go to the right "New Messages"

If you want them to be personalized per contact, you will need to access the phone book, go to the specific contact then personalize the message tone or ringing tone

Not really solved yet, but my daughter is hoping to get a new instruction book.

It shouldn't use your custom rigntone as the default - which is what it sounds like is happening.

How are you setting the custom ringtone - is it from options in the address book or profiles?

Check the ringtone set in profiles and random custom ringtones in address book/ "Contact A" options. Check at least one that you have changed and another that you haven't to see the difference in your settings.

To change your ringtone: - In Idle mode, press <Menu> -> Settings -> Phone Settings -> Phone profiles - Scroll to a profile - Press <Options> -> Edit -> Voice call ringtone - Select a ringtone category -> a ringtone - Press <Options> -> Save profile

not sure if this will work but go into downloaded ring tones pick one see the options and see if it says set as ringtone or message tone it should work also try going into profiles and perzonlize and go to ringing tone and pick downloaded tones hope that helps

menu, settings, profiles, options, edit...and you should figure it out from there...if not, post another thingy. yeah.
