Unknown error 2131042562 -4 memorex MRX 530L cd/dvd recorder every time i try to burn a dvd i get this message i have windows XP home media edition and useing sonic my dvd any help appreciated. I just did a system restore and installed the sonic codecs.

What error-message(s) do you get when you try to install?

Ot can only be the disk or burner....check both

Try a different piece of CD-rewritable media.

Try erasing/writing onto the CD-rewritable disk by using another computer.

Record, with pen-and-paper, the error-message that you get when you try to write, and do a Google-search for that text, to see if other person have had the same problem, and have found solutions that work for them.

Try to burn your programs using a different burning software like nero or etc.

This is a disk error issue make sure if on windows you have the drivers for your CD drive(start>right click computer>click device manager) and also try an different make of blank disk.

TDK maxel and sony disks are notoriously bad on burning..

verbatin and imation disks burn without this error, stick to CD-R or CD+R disks the re-writables are notrious for not writing properly

Depending on the type of football game it is, the software is seeing some sort of copyright on it. If it is from the NFL, then you won't be able to put that video on DVD.

It can be CD-blank media problem. Try another brand or if you use CD-RW try to use CD+RW.
Also try to use simulation mode. If it works fine it can be CD-blank media problem.
