I had the maker off for a couple of weeks and it has not made ice since I turned it back on. I don't know what else to try.
This unit work on the thermostat. When the temperature gets between 10 - 15 degrees it will satisfy the control then turn the compressor off and icemaker will advance. If the control is set too cold then it will never satisfy the control. 1st make sure the thermostat is at the warmest setting. When the compressor cycles off look to see if the icemaker is advancing. If no then replace the control.
SOURCE: Kenmore Coldspot Ice maker is not working on our side by side refrigerator
This is a Whirlpool made Kenmore there fore from what your telling me about your ice maker I'm pretty sure it's the ice maker motor module. If you take the cover off the ice maker you will see a large white gear in the center is a little two headed pin to keep the gear in place, if the pin is broke or twisted in any way that is your problem and you will need a new icemaker motor module. Check first and let me know then I will tell you how to install it, it's VERY easy and only takes 15mins. Hit me up when you find out hope I helped.
SOURCE: Ice maker leaks water into Ice bend. When it cycles I can watch it drip water from the ice maker.
not familuar with the brand but sounds like one of 2 issues
if it is overfilling making ice cubes larger than normal, adjust the ice maker fill time if it is possible
icemaker fills and cuts off but water valve seeps water after the fill causing the water overfill
one of the 2

The trough gets refilled on each ice cycle, if it's circulating, then the water supply is adequate.Y
The exact model would be helpful, but you could call 1-800-779-2547 U-Line's tech line

SOURCE: Ice maker stopped dropping ice or even making ice.
whirpool model ED2GHGXMQ00 three years old quit making ice and most recently we have replaced all the water filters! David
SOURCE: Ice maker (Uline) just stopped working, not freezing, no noise.
U-line does make compressors as long as its not a r12 system. As far as the icemachine turn breaker off for a couple of min then try it. If same results then it could be a board.
