Toastmaster 328 Toaster Oven with Convection Cooking Logo
Posted on Dec 12, 2007

Heating elements Both of the upper heating elements are warped, curving upwards in the center, even touching the ceiling of the toaster oven. This is causing inefficient heating of food, as well as appears to present a potential fire hazard. Is there any way to replace the elements, or other recommended course of action? The toaster oven is nearly 4 years old, has been used moderately, but kept very clean.

Same thing happened to me. Will the company replace the toaster? After researching this brand it seems they have many reaccuring problems. This one with the warped coils and there is another one that the glass has exploded. definatly will not buy anything from toastmaster again.

I just called the company @ 1-800-947-3744 and they are sending me a new toaster over to replace Model #328. DO NOT use the oven was what I was told and when the new oven arrives they'll tell me what to do with the damaged one. Mine had 2 warped areas on the front upper heating element.

I think this is a common problem with these kind of toaster ovens. Mine isn't a Toastmaster - mine is Cook's Essentials (from QVC), and my upper elements have also warped and split, although mine are curved downwards.

My toaster oven stopped heating all together.

your heating element has gone bad or there is some bad wiring in the oven itself

to check open up the toaster oven and look at the wires coming from the heating elements inside to the timer on the front panel if there is no bad wiring then the heating elements are bad and the toaster oven needs to be replaced

Bottom elements on DeLonghi AD699 failed.

Solution: buy a new toaster oven. I determined that the manufacturer stopped selling replacement heating elements in 2006, three years after the model year (2003). After market parts makers don't sell the elements for safety and liability reasons. So I got a new one.

Delonghi upper element warped

We had a Hometek toaster oven with the same issue. OEMs won't send you spares for health and safety reasons. With care you can bend the element back into approximate shape, take care not to let the element touch any other metalwork in operation.
