No accompianing software with purchase of Lexicon Alpha Recording

Bought it at Guitar center. It was the display model- they couldnt find the box or the Cubase LE4 software or other software supposed to come with it. Since couldnt find - knocked $10 off.
But still don't have what company promised with the unit.

"How can I get software for Lexicon Alpha that was missing when i bought it"
How can I get to a person who can help me resolve this?

I have Lexicon alpha, Condenser Mic, phantom power .If i record, the voice goes only to right speaker. I am using cubase le 4, stereo in/out are correctly.

Sorry, but the Lexicon Alpha does NOT have Phantom power and you can't use a condenser mic with it without a Phantom power injector or preamp.
If you mean you have a Phantom power injector then it should be working. Do you have seperate mics for the two channels of the stereo? If you have only one mic, then only one side will record unless you set for mono recording and then dump the recording into stereo voa Cubase. I would recommend you get a small mixer... even a 4 channel one to use ahead of the Lexicon so you can mix and PAN your mics the way you want them. The recording and trying to control the panning in Cubase can be frustrating... The Lexicon really doesn't have anything built in to PAN the mic to the center when stereo recording. Small mixers are inexpensive and often you can find them used or in pawn shops for cheap.

I have a lexicon alpha, samsung CO1 condenser mic and a samsung phantom power box, i have all the correct wires but i dont think i am connecting the correctly, HELP ME ! lol

Sorry, but the Alpha does NOT have Phantom power which IS required for a condenser mic.

You will either have to get a mic preamp that supplies phantom power or go to a dynamic type mic if you stay with the Lexicon Alppha.

Hi, I bought a Lexicon Alpha in order to use with Apple Mac (Logic). Now, my microphone is a dynamic microphone so it does not need any phantom power. When I connect the usb cable, the blue light comes...

I suspect the problem is with the software setup in your PC. Verify all the options and also verify that the AUDIO system is assigned as stereo and assigned to the Lexicon for both in and out... Also check any "PAN" control settings. There is a possibilty that the Alpha has a dead channel...

Try putting a stereo signal into the 1/4 inch jacks and see if both record... if NOT then take it for repair under warranty... I had a Lexicon Omega that had a problem myself... warranty repair...

I have bought a Lexicon alpha and have a consenser mic. Since the alpa doesn't support condenser mics I am running the mic through the system I bought it with, a ART TUB MP. Still I cannot get any...

You should be using XLR to XLR cable from the ART to the Alpha. You need to have recording software and the driver for the Alpha correctely loaded. Verify that in the PC when you go to the control panel in Windows and click on the "Sounds and Devices Icon that clicking on the VOICE tab that the Alpha is listed as the default audio for both in and out.

Have just purchased lexicon alpha to use on a Mac. Having trouble just getting started. Have hooked up a nice condenser mic into the alpha through the mic input on the rear and cannot get anything on the...

Make sure you have Phantom power turned on on the Lexicon... Oh,oh... it appears that the Alphs may NOT have phantom power which IS a REQUIREMENT for most condenser mics...

The Lexicon Omega does have this but apparently the Aplpha doesn't have it.

That leaves you with the choice of either getting a dynamic mic that doesn't need Phantom, or replacing the Alpha, OR using a preamp ahead of the mic before the Alpha...

Sorry, but those are the only solutions I see for you.

REMEMBER that condenser mics pick up everything and you cannot run them into a PA or they will feedback.

Lexicon Alpha got phantom?

The Lexicon Alpha does NOT have phantom power. The mic input expects a standard mic or a "self-powered" condensor mic. This means that you will neex external phantom power. There are power units available that use 9V batteries for this.

Ive been able to record and now i cant record bcuz the screen says "no inputs..." but i can hear music thru the inputs and the lexicon alpha is selected as the input and output sourc. whats wrong????

It sounds like you have NOT connected via the recording software.
It is like the normal Windows software audio has hijacked the audio system even though it is external.

Go into your recording software and look for an option to select the Lexicon device. You did not tell us what recording software you are using.

This is not an uncommon problem with these external audio recording devices.

Lexicon alpha interface is recording a faint high pitched sound

Check for ground loops.

You MIGHT be able to cut the noise by setting the EQ's to clip the highs.
