Demagnetize computer monitor

if you are using google /google chrome ., go to the 3 black bars in the tool bar top right hand corner and click on that
there will be a heading -settings -click on that and you will find a sub heading pop-ups , click on disable
you will find other headings like extensions , cookies
just disable all then as well

Magellan® RoadMate® 1700 Software Update - Installation Instructions

To install this software update you will need to install Content Manager.
Content Manager is a computer application that syncs with your Magellan GPS navigator to deliver new map updates and product information. To update your GPS download content manager and follow the steps below.

1. Download and install Content Manager on your Computer
2. Turn on your GPS. Wait for the menu to appear and connect to your Computer using the USB cable provided.
3. Content manager will automatically prompt you about the update. If Content Manager does not prompt you, right click on the Content Manager icon located in the system tray (on a Windows based pc) or click on the Content Manager icon in the Menu Bar (on a Mac) and select "Check for updates now". Content Manager will inform you if you have the latest software already installed.

NOTE: System tray is in the lower right hand corner of your computer monitor screen near the clock on a Windows based PC. The Menu Bar is the upper right hand corner of the computer monitor on a Mac

Where do you notice this bar? At the right side of the screen? Bottom of the screen? Top of the screen? Is it in white or black in color? Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Check this link and select the site named above. View it in 'Flip card' option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. It will make search easy. Some times, the ads attached with each posts, both at the right and bottom, might help you to find the availability of spare parts. There are more than 750 posts to different brand TVs now.

If you notice the same problem with different input devices, the TV needs servicing.

it might be possible that there is a virus in your computer which is causing this...if ie is not responding create a new user profile...go to control panel click on user profile...create a user profile by going into manage another account.(give the admin rights to new profile)
once the new account is created..log off from this account and then login to the new account check there if its working there or not

try to adjust your computer's display setting, sometimes improper display settings causes that.
Another area to look is to see if you have any "Hot Keys" setup for that corner. Sometimes those corners are setup as shortcut key for doing something. You might have it set without actually knowing.

either it is a motherboard problem or a video card error. open up computer check everything inside and turn back on. see if it works.

Okay this is a flaw with XP. what you need to to is when that happens. Wait for the screen to load and press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and that will bring up task manager. Under the file button on the top right hand corner and select New Task (Run...). Then the run box opens up and type in the box EXPLORER.EXE that should show the task bar and shortcut icons. If a standard TV has color splotches in 1 or 2 corners of the screen, it is possible that a large magnet, such as a large speaker, is or was near the set and has magnetized the picture tube. The set has a built-in degaussing coil but it is small and will only demagnetize small magnetic fields. Make sure there are no magnets near the set and if the colors are still off, have the picture tube demagnetized with a strong portable demagnetizer. As for the audio, when there are audio output jacks on the back of the set then there is usually an option to turn the speakers off. Some sets have a switch somewhere and some sets have a setting in the audio page of the on-screen menu. Look for a switch or go into the menu, navigate to the audio page and look for a speaker setting (ON / OFF) and make sure the speakers are set to ON.

this sounds like a pixel problem, you might have to buy a new monitor or see if that one still has a waranty.
