I have the same problem , but i had my for about 10 years.

When plugged in only the standby light is on. The power button will not turn the tv on manually or with a remote. I have the same problem. Only the standby light comes on, and blink only one time . There is no picture or sound. The TV controls and the remote control do nothing...

I would really like to fix it myself if possible. I can't afford to pay to get it repaired.

You can look at the deflection board for a burnt up little blue capacitor, it will be 1picofarad at 2000 volts, if it's not that obvious, then you will need convergence chips or a flyback, you just can't troubleshoot that problem yourself.

My sinotec stl-32vn23 standby button doesn't want to work how to fix that?

If the standby button on your Sinotec STL-32VN23 TV isn't functioning, and the red light remains on without changing to blue, it could indicate a power-related issue or a problem with the standby button itself. Here's how to troubleshoot:Confirm the TV is receiving power from a working power source. If available, try using the TV's remote control to turn it on.If the issue persists, unplug the TV from the power source for a few minutes, then plug it back in and attempt to use the standby button again. If the problem still exists, it may be due to a technical fault in the TV's power circuit or with the standby button. In this case, it's advisable to contact a professional technician or the manufacturer's customer support for further diagnostics and potential repairs.

Panasonic plazma tv th-42pd50u. Red light automatically turns on when connected to power and stays on. No clicks, No blinks and No picture. Is this a faulty power supply board?

possible reasons, its in standby, hold in the proper ON button on the tv for up to 20 seconds gently. or try disconnect power(pull plug out) wait 10 seconds, plug back in and turn on using the actual button(holding for up to 20 seconds) NOT THE REMOTE if that does not work, make sure your INPUT is CORRECTLY selected eg you are viewing HDMI1 and NOT HDMI2 for example. there may be different procedures for flashing lights

Standby light is on,but my olevia tv will not turn on.

No, someone will need to open set and check voltages etc and also look at power board to see if any puffed up bad caps like these:

AKAI 32" LCD HDTV WILL NOT TURN ON

The only solution at this point would be to get the power supply repair since new boards are not longer being manufactured. In about 95% of the time if the LCD doesn't power up or turns OFF by itself or need to be unplug for some time to make work again; those are the symptoms of a dying or defective power supply.
I service these power supplies, for more info write to [email protected]
