COBY I purchased a COBY MPC854 mp3/flash drive. I was able to load it once with about 28 songs. It says i have room for more, but now when i try to load it,the new songs are not on the player. Perhaps i somehow "locked" it from accepting more music? There is a small "R" on the screen. If i did "lock" it, how do i unlock it. I have tried every open i could find on the player. HELP! I don't want to throw this away or spend $ on another player. Thank you in advance.

Try this: Plug the player into the usb port. Go to my computer find your player and right click. Go to format and left click this erased every thing from my mpc854 so I could start over. Then I found I was creating a lot of different problems with my player by not removing it safely. In the lower right hand corner of your screen there should be a little gray thing with a green arrow above it. Left click it and then click remove safely. It seems to have been one these things I did to myself. But now it is working fine. I guess that is how we learn.

Hey

Try plugging the unit directly into the computer tower and not use the extension cable, plug it directly into one of the rear ports on your computer. This unit actually hardly ever breaks because its a simple flash drive.

make sure what your putting on is MP3 or unprotected WMA files. If the light is blinking, then it means its playing the song, if you hear nothing, the audio is not in the correct format.
