Faucet solution for hooking up portable dishwasher

I have a Whirlpool portable dishwasher (at least 17 years old) that hasn't been used for years. When I tried to hook it up to the faucet, the clamp doesn't stay on because the aerator on the faucet doesn't seem to have a ridge or something for it to hold on to. It used to work years ago, but perhaps the faucet was changed in the meantime and I've forgotten. Is there a special sort of faucet aerator that has a ridge or something that will enable the hose attachment to clamp on? I have model #DP3801XLWO.

There is a generic adaptor that fits on your faucet; take the name, model# and, hose to a hardware store and, they can show you the right adaptor for your machine

how would I get access to whirlpool dishwasher pump? We have a whirlpool dishwasher which isn't draining. I have checked the filter and outlet hose and neither are blocked. It's a case of the dishwasher not wanting to pump the water out and dumping it onto the floor instead I assume through an overflow mechanism. How easy is it for me to access the pump and see if its clogged? The instruction booklet doesn't state how to do this. Thanks in advance.

Viking VDW302SS--leaking in the front It was leaking in the front so I figured it's a gasket issue. I pulled the bottom gasket, it looks fine so I cleaned it and put it back in. However, it leaked again so I pulled the cover off the door and I can see internal light coming through so clearly it's not sealed. I flipped the gasket, thinking I may have installed it incorrectly, but I had the same result. The light is coming from the sides and four little grooves where the bottom meets the door-why are these here? It's preventing a seal. I think I can stretch the gasket a bit to cover the sides but I have no clue about the grooves. Am I doing something wrong? Samsung DW80F800UWS/AC 5E Error - fixed - now oE error no water we started with a 5E error - now water in dishwasher. cycle would start and then would drain immediately before running - replaced both hoses water in and out and replaced the case break assembly and now I have a oE error. There is no water in dishwasher and it does not fill - when you open the door you hear the pump working - I did dump a litre of water in and it drained right away out of the maching as it should but the oE error stayed on. The oE error runs the drain - then stops and then starts all over again even when you haven't started the dishwasher. I have also taken apart the flow hose that goes into the sensor on the case break assy and blew through it to ensure there was no blockage in the hose. All clear. Any suggestions.
