Marantz problems

The speakers are 8ohms. Always try using speakers 6 or 4ohms. For B&W 683 on PM 6004 is too low. You should go for PM 7000 or 8000 series to catchup with 683. Also when you increase the volume please decrease the bass as well.
You need 8ohm 55w to 90w or 4ohm 80w to 110w speakers.

I can't find out the remote code/s for controlloing the reciever with a Cocast remote control.

If the instructions that came with your remote don't list your receiver, you can try the "code search" feature and see if you have any success. But not all controls will operate every device, so you may just be out of luck.
