Hey mate i have the default settings for their optus net settings but i have trouble trying to input them into the phone, if you still need the info drop me a line at [email protected] and ill send that info across :)
You have to recieve the settings for MMS and GPS/GPRS from you operator. Some settings doesn't work, though you have to put them in manually. I'm sorry I don't remember which settings you have to put in manually, but test contact your operator for these settings, I'm sure they can help you. Good Luck! Regards, David.
If you have a I9 you must go to this site. very helpful every question you have has been asked at this site. Regestration is free. http://www.i9forum.co.uk/
Most setups are listed directly on this site. I took this qute from someone asking the same question.
I didnt see the thread they were ytalking bout, but they are suggesting stting it up like the Nokia 2610. I would recommend posting this question again on the above site. Below is what I copied from there.
Hi I'm in Sydney and use Optus mms and wap with no problems. If you look in this thread under the topic Easy configure MMS. Follow the instructions to the Nokia site for the 2610 and you should get a text back to set up MMS and the internet. Good luck It worked fine for me.
hi i had the same problem with viewing and sending mms and my provider was unable to help.
You need to get the settings from your mobile network provider and then go to:
Menu, settings, connection settings, choose whatever provider you are with eg optus, vodafone or whatever. Enter and save the settings by hitting save.
Get back to menu, messages, settings, multimedia message, profile. Select the same name that you saved the settings under previously.
This is how I worked mine out and it works now.
Good luck
