If
your GPS unit powers down before it can fully boot up, the battery will
need to be charged. Please charge the unit with the vehicle power
cable or on a computer for at least three hours. After charging the unit,
it should power on and function normally. If the unit will not charge in
the vehicle, check the fuse in the power cable for the unit and
the power outlet in the vehicle.The nuvi 200 series, 300 series, 600 series, 700 series, 1000 series and the
StreetPilot C300 and C500 series do not have user replaceable batteries. These
units must be sent in to a Garmin approved repair facilities if a
battery
issue arises.
Garmin and Raytech are the
only Garmin approved repair facilities.

repair your device please contact the specific repair facility for your region.
If your device is not still under the 1 year warranty, there will be a cost
associated with the
repair of your device.
