This indicates that cassettes 1 and 2 are not communicating correctly with the machine. Try removing the cassettes from the machine and ensure that no paper is jammed where the cassettes will meet the rear of the machine. Please ensure that you unplug the copier before you attempt to remove any obstruction.

Try another battery. The blinking red light means its not charging and keeping power.

The red light is blinking and it doesn't print.


There are actually some certain meaning on the red light and green light showing different information to user. The summaries are:
1) Green On, Red Off = Printer Ready.
2) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Fast-Flashing = Printer warm up.
3) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Off = Printer off-line.
4) Green Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Processing Data.
5) Green Off, Red On = Cover Opened, Toner Empty or Developer Unit / Drum unit missing.
6) Green Off, Red Fast-Flashing = Paper Jam or waiting for jam reset.
7) Green Off, Red Slow-Flashing = Paper Empty or Paper tray is not inserted.
8) Green Off, Red Off = Printer power is off.
9) Green Very-Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Printer in sleep mode.
10) Green (any condition above), Red Slow-Flashing = Toner low or paper empty.

Kyocera FS-1020D lights blinking but doesn't respond


Fuser error (6000 error)
Contact your Kyocera Mita dealer.
Unfortunatly there is not much You could do Yourself
This error means that the fuser is either damaged or not connected properly to the rest of the printer. If its connection error You could try to fix it but in most cacses the fuser is just broken ie. overheated due to not enough air flow.

Top 3 lights blinking on printer


The flashing of the LEDs you describe indicates a error. If you call the Kyocera Help Desk they can tell you what the error is based on the order and color of the LEDs. They can be reached at 800-255-6482.
