SOURCE: Hi, Can any body help us? We have a M7324 on a

On the cross connect do you have a CO connected to that line. That is most likely the cause of no dial tone. If you don not know how to check that call a phone system expert to connect and verify your system.

When I pick up my phone line 6 lights up is there any way to have line 1 light up when I pick up the phone?

Phone is programmed as:
-Access to Pool A = Y
-Primed to = Pool A

When somebody dials 9 or picks up handset it will go to the Prime To noted above which is Pool A.
6 lines are in Pool A, you cannot change the order......it will always select the bottom line.
You need to change Prime Line to = None, then when a line is ringing it will answer the first line that rang.
If you know how to program its under Config/SetXXX/LineAccess/PrimeLine otherwise you need to call a tech/vendor in for this.

When I pick up my nortel norstar phone m7324 line 6 lights up can I change this to line 1?

In tech programming (Config) you need to got to the Line data and remove lines 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 from the pool it is in, make it none.
Note if line 1 is in use then you cannot call out.
Note sure why you would want line 1 as your outbound, systems are to use the bottom lines out and work their way up and inbound starts at the top and works their way down.

If you dont know how to program or the password call your local vendor in for a 1 hour charge.

If there is some strange reason then state what the setup or issue is and we can see if there is a work around.

How do I reprogram the phone to ring when a new call comes in, default to a certain line, and show caller id when a call comes in.

The answer to the Caller ID question:
Depend on the type of system that the phone is connected to. Late model Partner ACS equipment will display Caller ID info between the first and second rings, provided that the telephone line is plugged into a module that supports Caller ID.

The answers for the other 2 questions are taken directly out of the Partner ACS Programming Guide which is available for free download at Avaya's website.

Ther answer to the incoming call line ringing question:
Again, depends on the system. For the Partner ACS:

1) Press FEATURE 00 at extension 10 or 11.
2) Enter the number of the extension to be programmed for Line Ringing.

The green lights next to the line or pool buttons show the current Line Ringing settings for all

lines or pools assigned to the extension. (If a line or pool is not assigned to a button, the green

light next to that button is off.) The following ringing options can be shown by the green light

next to the line or pool button:

? Immediate Ring - on steady

? Delayed Ring - flashes slowly
? No Ring - flutters quickly

3) Press the line or pool button until the button light shows the correct setting (the setting for the
currently selected line or pool also appears on the display).
4) Continue programming, or exit programming mode.

Line selection:

For incoming calls, the line selection (hunt sequence) is set by the local service provider). For outgoing calls....again....it depends on the system. For the Partner ACS:

1) Press FEAURE 00, SYSTEM PROG, SYSTEM PROG, CENTRAL PROG at extension 10 or 11.
2) Enter the number of the extension to be programmed for Automatic Line Selection.
3) Press **.
4) Press the line, pool, or INTERCOM buttons in the desired order. The valid entries for Automatic
Line Selection
depend upon the type of extension:

? Key Extension: Outside system lines, Left Intercom (the factory setting)

? Pooled Extension: Pool 880 button 1, button 2, Left Intercom, Right Intercom (the factory

setting), Pools 881-883, individual lines

For each button pressed, a display similar to the following appears:

Automatic Line Selection

5) To exit Automatic Line Selection, press **.
6) Press CENTRAL PROG and enter a new extension number, or exit programming mode.

Changing line ringing and line selection are tasks that are normally reserved for the Administrator of the telephone system.

BIS-10 Phone - How to change default line

If you have a "squared" system (each line assigned to a different button), just press a different line button. To change the order of the lines, slide the "T/P" switch to "P" and press the line buttons in the order you want to use them (ie: Line 4, Line 3, Line 2, Line 1).

If your lines are "pooled" you just get the next available line from the pool - no choosing which line you get.

Hope this helps.

We have aEC-65 hayward pool filter with a 1HP motor why does the pump slow down run at higher pressure ?

I believe that this particular model is a DE pool filter. Is that correct? If you are operating with a media other than DE, let me know. Assuming that you ARE using DE:
1. You DE could be coated to the maximum with pool dirt algae, etc. To correc this problem, you need to bump the filter.
2. You could have an overcharge of DE. To remedy,
Bump-Drain-Recharge.
3. Restriction in return line caused by small
eyeball fitting. To correct, change to a larger sized fitting.
4. You could have a partial closed valve on a return line. You will just need to open the valve.
5. Make sure that your pump strainer basket and pool skimmer basket are not clogged.
6. Make sure that your pump impeller valves are not clogged.

Want to turn the ringer off unless receiving a transfer.

This feature determines how each outside line or pool assigned to an extension rings. You can specify Immediate Ring, Delayed Ring (telephone rings after a 20-second delay), or No Ring. Delayed Ring is useful for backup coverage on shared lines or pools, such as for secretaries who cover each other’s lines. No Ring is useful for all extensions except 10 when an operator answers all calls, or for telephones with no regular users, such as those in conference rooms. To change the way outside lines or pools ring at an extension:
