It needs service,
or buy the service manual and read.
sound like the power supply inside is bad or the lamps back light.

Sorry, this has no easy fix. The good news is you do not need an LCD Panel. The bad news is the Video Processor has a problem.
This TV has x3 Boards. The one you should replace first is the one in the middle. If this doesn't fix it, try the one on the right. The Part #s are on the Boards if you wanna try ebay.

SOURCE: JVC LCD have sound no picture

it can be either the backlight inverter board or the power supply module is not supply 24vdc to the inverter board.

You most definately have bad capacitors in the power supply. try and get it repaired as soon as possible, not an expensive repair that iv'e seen.

I have a JVC LCD LT 42x688 tv. Started getting all kind of colors on screen then poof no picture. Sound still good just no picture. Unplug from the wall then plug in again sometimes picture comes on for 20...

You need an Analog Board. It is the one in the middle. You can find it on ebay for $50 I think.
