My Pitney Bowes 9820 fax machine says check printer service due. When I hit the help key it asks for a password which I entered 9820, but no other key after that seems to work

Service due and check printer may be two different problems
check printer may be a fuser or laser problem
service due may be a counter for a ozone filter that needs to be changed to make the EPA ha[[y. If you wait too long to reset the filter counter, it can go to a check printer and cease printing

To reset the counter, press function 99, yes,access code is ***1.yes
press 146, yes, then press 1 to reset, press yes. press stop to exit
