wireless card issue is a typical promblem with the Tx1000, first thing is that you changed the operating system and window 7 is unable to pick up the wireless card hardware, and a driver is needed to be installed for the wireless card, which you can find at the Hp site or the broadcom site if you have the broadcom wireless card. Other then that, if nothing works, then try to see if the laptop can locate the wireless card trough the hardware/sound device manager in the control panel. After opening the device manager and scrolling to hardwares and the wireless card is not found, then this is the typical tx1000 wifi mystery promblem. This promblem is associated with the laptop overheating and thus caused the card expansion slot to become defect. This by far is the start of a more promblematic issue that many other tx1000 owner is having. Google "mysterious wifi card on hp tx1000" and there are thousand out there with the same situation.
When you stated that you tried to recover it several times, how were you able to attempt that if you have no video. You cannot see what you are doing.
Nonetheless, you GRAPHICS CHIP is shot. Your laptop is essentially dead. The system will power on but the graphic chip will not produce a video. Often people reflow these chips, however, they seldom last long and the video quality is compromised.
If you can see the video on an external monitor then your screen, LCD Inverter, or Video cable is bad. If you cannot see the video on an external monitor. Your graphic chip is dead. End of the road for your system. Don't waste your time and money on the reflow.
it may happen that your extetnal (VGA Display) is enabled, this will disable your LCD Display.
just press Fn key and look function keys where monitor symbol is drawn ( that is F7 or F8 key. (turn on laptop then press Fn + F8/F7)

Mine has already twice made the same thing. Solution was simple - got the touchscreen changed (luckily under warranty). As third problem required change of the motherboard, I'm planning to get rid of the piece of junk alltogether. I think it is a solution for all the troubles with tx1000.
