Endeavour MP3 portable device reformatted in error. How can I get and reinstall firmware

Hi, I have one of these ipod look alike players it's only a 1 gig version i bought for my daughter but she no longer uses it i can dump the Firmware for you and email it of to you if need be.

Other thing i can suggest is you try this site for help.

Reformat your mp3 player to FAT32 and then try using the firmware update.

If that doesn't work you could look for any media (CD?) that came with it and see if there is firmware on it to install on your mp3 player.

The Opal has a reset hole on the back of the unit in which a toothpick (non metallic) can be inserted to reboot the player. If this does not work, I suggest that you reformat the player by using the Windows format command on the unit. To reformat the memory:
Right click on the device within the Explorer or My Computer window
Select the format command (full format) to reformat the internal memory of the device.
Reinstall the firmware from http://download.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads/opal_fwutility_v2.3.0.exe

Accidentally formatted my x20, now OS Vista does not see x20 when plugged in. Is there any way to reinstall the firmware?

firstly reformat the x20 using the device itself...
after that install the iriver plus 3...
there should be something on the program to reinstall it...
i also think that on the disc that comes with the iriver, there is an install that might help...
otherwise try and reformat the comp

trouble - this player is not MAC compatible - you will always get that error
