Put water in Kenwood and a bowl inside the Kenwood to hold eggs. Eggs need to be done SLOWLY. Can also add a LITTLE water to aggs as they cook to slow down curdling . Basically you need to turn Kenwood into a double boiler. Lift bowl with eggs in and out of Kenwood to control temperature and whisk away now under control. Lift bowl and cool and slow down cooking and lower back in water and Kenwood to hear back up. Keep whisking and lift and lower bowl as needed. Some melted butter doesn't hurt either!
The model number doesn't really exist other than the fact that the stainless steel bowl is available for just about every Chef made. My own KM300 has a stainless steel bowl for example that came as standard - it however is the same bowl you can order from Kenwood or EBay under the A701/A901 model - all bowls from Kenwood can be fitted on the Chef model with the exception of the Major model which is a larger and taller machine.
Very strong possibility that one of the safety switches has gone bad. I've found, on the last one I worked on, that the safety at the back of the bowl, where the guard hits, when in place, was bad. Drove me crazy trying to find it.
Best I can do for a parts catalog is these guys;
They have the most comprehensive parts list for the km220 I could find. Check all the pages and see if you can identify the bit you need.
This company is in the UK - I guess you are in the US? - if you can post back with which part you need exactly, then I can try and find a supplier in the US if you like, although I believe Partmaster will distribute items worldwide.
Hope this helps, waiting for your info :)
