arlenekc : The water pump needs replaced.

malibu66,: Replacing the pump is not difficult at all.

In the above cases, Tilt the machine back so you have access to the bottom. (It there is a soft bottom plate you will have to remove it.) The pump it located on the bottom of the motor and is held on by two clips. Remove the hoses ant then the clips. The pump should slide off the motor shaft. If the pump does not come off then you will have to break it off. DO NOT pry on the motor or shaft. Once the pump is off check the motor shaft for any rust or build-up. This will have to be removed before a new pump is installed.

Line the pump up to the motor shaft to get it in place and put the unit back together then check the operation.

LITTLEGIRL4 Open the lid and find the water flume where the water comes in. This flume gets out of position sometimes. Start filling the machine and watch the flume. If there is water dripping or running down the sides toward the rear then the flume is not in position or has been damaged.

SOURCE: water is leaking from the underneath, at the front of the machine

The drain pump is located at the front, underneath. The drain pump has probably failed and will need to be replaced.

SOURCE: Roper washer will not spin or drain-

you may have something stuck in your pump, preventing it from draining. The washer will not spin until it does drain. You'll have to empty the tub (you can do this with gravity by taking the drain hose and putting it down near the floor in a bucket). You will have to take the cabinet off, then take the hoses off the pump. Have some towels ready! Look inside the pump and hoses for an obstruction. If the fins inside the pump are damaged, you will have to replace it. If there is no obstruction here, look down inside the hose drain. Run a coat hanger down if neccessary to see if theres a blockage. The pump could be dead, too.
You could have a dead spot on the timer, but this is doubtful.

Every time I do a wash load on either daily wash or quick was my machine comes up with clean filter after its been through two thirds of the washing cycle and doesn't spin or empty. can u please advise?

There is a access panel that comes off/opens on the front bottom of the machine or back.
Open it and look for the round cap/plug that unscrews appro 3"round
Unscrew to take out the strainer, it is blocked
Be aware that you will need a pan and towel because water left in the drum will leak ou through here when removed.
Just loosen cap until pan is full and close, repeat until empty
Hope this helps

Roper washer is leaking above the motor.

Main gasket and seal on the bottom of the machine. You will need to replace the drum gasket and the bearing seal.

Roper washer leaks when filling

It's in the drain hose somewhere, during the fill the water gets as deep in the drain hose as it does in the washer, during the wash the pump runs in reverse keeping the water level in the hose low, during the drain the hose is filled again.
Prop the washer up in front on a couple bricks or boards, start putting in water until it starts to leak and take a peak under the machine.

My roper wash machine is leaking. is it worth

check when it's leaking during the cycle.
If the fill hose has become unhooked from the outer drum of the machine, it'll just dump water all over the floor... it'll leak out of the case of the machine, but it's an easy fix... you simply open the machine, reinstall the hose into the drum or you may have to replace the hose...washing machines will last a good long time...it's worth the trouble to fix...let me know if you need help opening it up.
This can happen if the machine is overloaded... I had a laundromat and this happened alot because people were cheeeeep and wanted to overstuff the machine thinking they'd get a better deal...not true...dirtier clothes and broken machines....

WATER LEAK WHEN FILLING

IS your leak in the front or the back? front could be the pump seal is broke and back would be you water inlet valves. Pump tilt it back and look underneath for leaky seal and water inlet valves you need to take the back off this is a tricky but doable process. post model numbers from now on please

My washer is leaking water from underneath. How can I fix this problem

Are you sure its from underneath as a lot of washers seem to be leaking underneath but its actually a blockage in the soap dispenser. Or the water pressure is too high and splashing out of the dispenser in this case make sure the m/c is level front to back.
