Can't save multiple page scan to multiple page pdf document

I've scanned a 13 page document on Presto PageManager 7 but when I save it as a pdf or send file to Adobe Reader6.0, I only get a 1 page document the first one of my scan. How do I get all 13 pages in one pdf document using this program.
I've spent hours with the help and have gotten no where

  • dlardy Sep 14, 2009

Thanks. I didn't realize that on PageManager what I see as a 13 page document in in page maker actually has each page as an individual image. I used word to insert each image and was able to create a 13 page document. What a pain. It would be much easier if my 13 page document visable in PageManager would be able to be saved or converted to a 13 page pdf. I thought that was one of the benefits to this program.

That should be because you scanned the pages separately, did you notice if the PDF document converted was the very last page of the 13paged document which you wanted to make a document from? if that's right, then you just only converted the last scanned page into PDF, to stick all the pages together, i recoment you treating them as images and using word to stick them all together with the "insert>image> from archive" adjusting the size of the image at 1 page and with each 13 pages do the same until you have a full document of 13 images in 13 pages then you can convert it into PDF

How do I scan multiple documents and email them as one attachment

1. Click PDF on the Custom Scan with One-click tab or click PDF in the one-click mode screen to open the PDF dialog box.
* If you wish to convert the text in a document to editable text data, scan the item with the OCR. The precision of OCR is affected by the nature of the scanned original

2. Select the type of document to be scanned.
Important
To scan correctly, select a document type that matches the document to be scanned.

3. Select a file type to save the scanned image.
Select PDF, PDF(Multiple Pages) or PDF(Add Page)
Important
Click Set... to open a dialog box and specify the PDF compression type and other advanced settings for creating PDF files.
4. Place the first original on the scanner and click the [Scan] button at the right bottom corner of the PDF window.

5. When scanning is completed, place the next original and click the [Scan] button.

6. Repeat scanning by clicking the [Scan] button until you finish all the originals.
7. When all the original is finished, click the [Exit] button.

8. When the scan is complete, it automatically starts the application program that displays PDF files and opens the scanned image file in it.

To scan a text document or black and white document, you are recommended to set the Scan Mode to Black and White or Grayscale.
You are recommended to limit the number of pages in any one multiple PDF file to 20 or less if you are scanning a color document with the Image Quality set to 300 dpi and the size to a setting equivalent to Letter size.

Scanning Multiple pages into one pdf

Scanning a multi-page document as a .pdf file reverts the settings for rotation, selected area, etc. to default for any pages after the first page. This applies to Mac OSX 10.3, 10.4, & 10.5. A simple, but tedious work-around is to scan each page as a separate file and easily recombine them using OSX Preview. Just open the first page, view the Sidebar, and drag-drop the additional page files into the sidebar. Save and it's all one multi-page .pdf.
