Check and see if the unit flickers when you move the unit.
This may be a loose connection.
When the unit is flickering, tap the base of the unit and see if it stops or gets worse.

Not likely a bad monitor...
The monitor cable on the back of the computer is loose.

Could also be the screen setting that is difficult to achieve and maintain.

If the cable is already tight on both ends, you might try a lower resolution setting for the monitor.

1. Right-click anywhere on the desktop
2. Go to "Properties" on the drop-down menu
3. Select the "Settings" tab
4. Slide the Resolution knob to the left a little (1024x768 or 800x600) and press [OK]

Hope this helps

My laptop screen flickers in and out, screen goes black

Hello there,
The reason the screen flickers is simply because the module of the laptop is faulty. The module is what connects the screen to the main board, it is like a flex for the screen. Once you can have it replaced, the screen will stop flickering.

Flickering screen of my lifebook s series

This sounds like a loose connection. If you can press on the back of the lid and it flickers or stops flickering, then it's definitely a connection problem. You will need to take the bezel around the screen off, the screws are hidden under small sticky tabs or the small rubber bumpers. Then take the screen loose and check the connection on the back. Replace the tape on the cable, if there is any.
