I replaced the bake element and cannot get the oven to bake or broil. The range works, the oven light works, there are no error messages or indicators that there is a problem. No settings are on such as delay bake, sabbath mode, or anything that I can tell. I reset the circuit breaker and unplug the unit and plugged back in. Nothing happens! No heat! HELP!!
Bann...why did you replace the element? It is possible that the relay or the control circuit were the problems and still are. The hi limit switch is a temperature 'box' which is designed to open the circuit in case of overheating. Rarely a problem. First, these units are 3 wire units. That means 220 volts ... two breakers. They may be part of a linked unit or separate. Turn them BOTH off and then on. Do all of your burners heat properly on high? If you have a voltage tester, you can test to see if the voltage is there. Unplug the unit. The vertical slot is neutral. Each of the other slots with the neutral should light the tester. If not, your problem is outside the stove.
Understood.. Generally, breakers marked kitchen do NOT include the stove. The ones you are looking for are for more than 40 amps but not your main breaker and are generally in a linked pair. Find them, turn them off and back on.
The only thing I can say from here is that the control board has gone bad. If you kept the breaker off for at least a minute, that's the only thing you can accuse. Wish I could give more advice.

If you are referring to the bake element, but the broil element works then you would need to just replace the bake element. If both your bake and broil element does not work, then there might be a problem with the wiring communication. However, if the oven does not bake and/or broil but the cook top works, contact a professional to have the EOC (electronic oven control) diagnosed.

I have been looking at the wiring diagram. I find 1 familiar wire between the broil and bake element which has a HI LIMIT SWITCH drawn on the diagram but I am not sure what that is and have been unable to locate it on the oven.
That would be funny if I didn't have a family of 5 to cook for not to mention it is Christmas time no money to have it fixed. Thanks for you help and God bless you.
I replaced the bake element because it burned in two. I use the range top to cook and it works great. I have flipped both of the breakers marked kitchen. The reason I question the hi limit switch was because I know the bake element broke and after replacing it neither element will heat. I am just looking for the common link.
Well I got excited because I had not turned on & off the correct breaker, but now I have and still nothing. Any other ideas??
