Maytag RSW24EO refrigerator not cooling

My maytag RSW24EO side by side is working on the freezer side, but the refrigerator side is only 60 degrees. I unplugged it for about a minute and then replugged it. The fan turned on immediately then I could hear the compressor start running after probably 30 seconds. Also the compressor feels very warm, if that means anything. Any ideas what could be the problem?

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge.The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.

MAYTAG SIDE BY SIDE MSD2356AE. FREEZER NORMAL TEMP. FRIG. 60 DEGREES.

make sure that there is nothing blocking the flow of air coming in. the fridge is cooled by the air in the freezer. also you might think about replacing the relay on the compressor. it may be going out.

Your problem sounds like a defrost or control board. The condser fan sould run full speed when running. It will cost about 90-100 dollars. I hope this helps.

Your refrigerator has an Adaptive Deforst Control located in the control panel inside the fresh food section part number 61005988 is is the most likely reason for your trouble. Picture #13 below.
