Remove both back wheels (just pull gently with a screwdriver), then with a big screwdriver pull the cover while pulling plastic locks in the side holes (under the wheels) whith a small screwdriver.

I had the same problem. On mine it was because the drive belt had worn out. This is under the black cover on the side. You have to remove three torx screws to remove the cover.

Removing the last screw from a Toshiba Qosmio G25

It is called a "security Torx" ... a regular star shape is a "Torx" ... the center pin, makes it a "security" one :-)

Last time I purchased such a tool, was from Pep-boys, but I have seen them at other automotive repair stores... on the flip side, where did you find the guide? :-)

I have a Bosch free standing dishwasher (can't find the model #) that doesn't drain the used water when finished. Are there any diagrams that I can access to check how to remove and check the drain?

just remove the screen from inside you will see a torx screw to the left side of the sump remove it. pull the protective cover of the drain pump impeller. once removed you can see if anything is in the drain. if the impeller seems fine you eithe have a bad drain pump or something is in your drain between the dishwasher and the sink clogged.

Replacing carbon brushes

The housing cover is removed by removing the one Torx (t-20 or t-25 ) screw from the end of the housing where the power cord goes inside.  Once this screw is removed the brushes can be quickly replaced.  Go to this page for an exploded diagram.

The screw you want to remove the housing is listed as part 130 in the diagram.  Then the brush (part 801) can be unplugged an removed from brush holder (part 116) by gently pulling back the brush spring (part 126). Then the spring must be held back to install the new brush. Then plug it in, and replace the other brush, test the unit before replacing the housing cover.  The blue sparks generated by running the unit are normal and will decrease as the new brushes are worn to the shape of the armature.  Good Luck!

Unsticking the C2424 Printhead

You need to remove the scanner and document feeder.
to do that you disconnect the molex connector from the right side of the printer next to the power cord.
Then remove the 2 screws on the upper part of the back of the machine, one each on the 2 side covers. That is all that holds the covers on. Now, step to the side at about the middle of the machine, lift up and out on the one of the side covers, Now be ready because the front cover will "pop" off also, that front cover holds both side covers on in front.
Now you need to go to the back again, there is a small white cover on the upper back about 10 inches long and 2-3 inches on top and down the back, remove it and the metal cover underneth it.
Last you have to remove the ink holder, where the solid ink stick are placed. There are no bolts holding it in, just a couple of plastic tabs on the sides, You need to release them with a small screw driver and lift it out, There are 2 connectors on that plug in on the side of the machine. Once you get the ink loader ( holder) off you have accessed the print head area. It really is pretty easy to get to. Just sounds like a lot, In actuality, it takes about 10 minutes. Make sure you have either some magnetic Torx drivers or a 5.5 MM nut driver to remove the screwws.

Bosch Dishwasher SGS43E02 Exxcel Control/Display Facia Panel

The panel is replaceable by removing the #20 torx screws inside the door. Once removed the metal outer door cover will slide down and the plastic top housing less switch panel can be unclipped from two locking tabs on either side. You can order via BOSCH service center, check to see if it is warrantied before removing

Our Bosch had a similar problem. I think something was stuck in the pump and causing the rattle. Remove the filter and clean out any gunk and/or water left in the sump. If your model is like mine, the pump cover is on the left and can be removed by unscrewing on Torx screw (I didn't have the right size torx wrench, but mine came out easily by turning it with needle-nose pliers). Lift the cover off and see if something in there is causing the rattle. Clean and reassemble
