I have an MM-DG35I Samsung ''Personal Micro Component System'' and am having problems using it with my ipod nano: I don't have the system attached to a TV which means that if I want to play from my ipod, I can't see anything on the screen to see what I'm doing - ie. find playlists or artists etc. It does play through the system, just without being able to see what I'm doing. The ipod screen is grey and says ''Attached to Accessory. OK to disconnect''. Is there any way to stop the ipod from showing this screen and instead control the music being played using the ipod controls? (I know I could use an audio lead to connect it to the microphone/auxilliary connector but I'd rather use the dock). Thanks in advance!

Dear Seantennyson,

I have a question for you about the MM-dg35i

Is the dock integrated on the system? or is an external dock connected to the aux connectors?

Thanks in advance

It can be dozens or things, from an amplifier issue to a bad microprocessor(computer within your Samsung) No one can tell for sure without opening it up, and you may have caused ESD damage by just taking the cover off,

You can get the neccessary drivers from the internet, type in ipod nano 1st generation drivers for "along with the operating system your computer uses" and you should find them and be able to download them to your pc

Ipod adapter clear

Sorry, it 'WILL NOT' charge a 4G Nano on this Dock no matter which adapter you use!!

Clear Adapters have small numbers on them which relate to different iPods - A reference sheet relating to these numbers is enclosed with the Adapter Pack!

Compatability with 4th gen nano

I have had exactly the same problem having bought a JBL Radial Micro for my partner for Xmas for use with the Ipod Nano, i contacted JBL via their website and was advised to contact Harmen on 01707278100. I was advised that the new ipod nano (chromatic) would not charge on the JBL radial micro. They stated that this was due to Apple changing the charging pin in the new nano. I have since bought a JBL Stage III. I contacted Harmen before buying this and was advised that the Stage II would not work. Hope that this is of use.

Samsung Max-DC950 Mini-Component

Hi,
You need to go in menu or setup and select Region code. It's not matter where you bought your player. Select your country and it will work just fine.
Good luck.

Ipod nano

The dock connectors on most of the speaker systems available are cheap and break easily. I have experienced the same problems. if the ipod doesn't sit just right then it doesn't connect. why they seem to charge but not send music signals i'm not sure. highly unlikely that it's your ipod. either buy a good speaker dock (klipsch, bose, sonic impact... check amazon or e-bay for good deals) or use the headphone jack to connect to the speaker dock you have, and use the wall charger to supply power/charge your ipod.

Ipod nano, hitting eject results in system restart

First, make sure you have installed the software from the iPod CD. in any case, try to reinstall it. Second, Try connecting to a different USB 2.0 port on your computer. Last, Your iPod nano might need to be reset (see page 43 on the user guide). By the way: If you?re using a Mac, you can also eject iPod nano by dragging the iPod nano icon on the desktop to the Trash. If you?re using a Windows PC, you can eject iPod nano by clicking the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows system tray and selecting your iPod nano.
