SOURCE: Error code 62 on Brivis Me20 ducted heater

Hi
Error 62 is related to hot surface ignitor (HSI)or/nglo module

you can check the resistance of the ignitor should be less than 10 oms @ 20 degrees

failing that, if you incomming suppy exceeds 270 volt will also result in error 62

Testimonial: "The error did indicate an HSI problem but it turned out to be a fault on the circuit board of the control module, thanks anyway"

Vulcan ducted heating system 530 E (5 years old) have replaced AAA batteries on remote control but still not working. Thanks Michael

You have to recode the remote to the heater if the batteries have been removed for more than 3 minutes. On the comfort control will the remote is in a off state turn the heater off at the power.

While off press and hold the up button and the on/off until code appears then release buttons and turn the power back on to the heater.

When code disappears from the remote turn on the remote set the temp higher than current temp and combustion fan should start up then heater will fire up.

If not repeat process as they are easily corrupted by other remotes.

Download control manual from - http://www.bonaire.com.au/support/documentation/owner/default.aspx

Set / check fan speed or it may overheat.

Code 3 combustian fan error on a vulcan bonair heater

Check the exhaust and air intake for any blockage or sag that may hold some water in it. Also check the condensate hoses for any blockage. You may also want to check the small hose that goes to the pressure switch for moisture. You could also have a bad or weak combustion fan not pulling in the pressure switch.

Circuit board light blinks 3 times heater will not turn on

The error code refers to a defective combustion air switch. Coleman Evcons made around 2007 had defective pressure switches or as they call them "combustion air switch". Replace it and the problem is gone.

  • We had the same problem with our carrier heater 4 year or so ago. We had a technician and electrician try to resolve the problem. What the tech suggest was to replace the main component board to the heater and update it as well. haven't had any troubles with it. cost was $450.
