Solis Palazzo - stuck in descale mode?

Our Solis Palazzo appears to have gotten stuck in descale mode. The machine will not do anything but dispense water from the wand as if it is rinsing after a running the descale mix thourgh. The following lights are blinking: "clean," "water," "heat," and "descale." Any ideas how to re-set the machine?

I had the same thing happen the last time I descaled my machine. I turned off the power switch overnight. When I turned it on the next morning, it had reset and finished the descaling process. I haven't had any problems since then, however, I haven't had to run the descaling process again.

The light was on to descaler my machine, I am following instructions but it's not working. I put the powder in and tried but nothing happens...

Are you refilling the tank during this process? You need to let in run dry, and then the buttons flash. Then, refill the tank with clean water, and let the tank run dry again.

I had this same problem. I tried shutting the machine off - overnight etc. I see this problem posted all over the internet. I even scoured the German forums. No luck.

When the water light blinks that indicates that the machine needs to be ventilated (pump needs priming). With the machine on, water tank with water (say half full), lights a-blinkin', turn the valve down.

If your machine is behaving like mine, the water will run for ~10 sec then water shuts off - lights still a blinkin'.

I did this on and off until I was blue in the face.

Here's what worked. I opened the valve for 5 to 7 seconds, before the water shut off automatically, I closed the valve. Then I opened the valve - repeat and close the valve before the flow is automatically shut off. I ran the tank empty doing this manual on and off routine. Refill the tank. The blinking water light went out. Now the water will flow consistently, no more need to open and close the valve. Soon the descale light goes out. The machine goes through a normal startup cycle. Machine is ready.

Good Luck!

Hi Descaling the Palazzo: The Palazzo is programmed to descale the boilers on its own, when set in the correct mode. You program the machine to descale it's self, do the following. With the machine turned on, push and hold the left 2 buttons (clean and pre-ground). This should light the top right red indicator light. Mix your descaling crystals in 32 to 48 oz in your water tank. Stir until they are completely dissolved in the water. Next, have a container that can handle about 2 quarts of water under the steam wand, or have the machine positioned next to a sink. Next open the steam knob on the right side of the machine. You should hear the pump turn on and pump about 2 to 3 oz's. of water through the wand into the container. The pump should turn off and there will be a wait of about 2 minutes. The pump should turn on again and more water will come out. It will do this until it has completely drained the water tank. Do not interrupt this cycle until the machine has stopped on its own. When it does stop, all lights on the bottom will flash. Rinse out the water tank and refill with fresh water. Place the water tank on the machine again, and then close, and then open the steam knob again and let the water just flow through the boilers until it is emptied by the machine. Don't turn off anything until the machine stops on its own. This will clear the descale light. Refill the water tank again with fresh water and push the water button on the right. It will light(very dim), then open the steam knob again/ The red light will go out and it will start to heat and your ready to go.

I have a Solis Palazzo machine. My question is:

HI When was the last time you descaled? This can have a temp lowering effect if you don't descale on a regular basis. Program you water hardness so its set on 4. This will tell you when you have to descale. Descals is not the same as cleaning. Its a special acid that disolves the deposits inside the boiler.

Solis palazzo espresso maker / water tank problem

HI
Did you push the water button, before you opened the knob? When you finished descaling did the lights change? On any compact machine you need the let the pump stop on its own. Then go to the next part, rinsing. Again letting the machine stop on its own. Pump will stop and the lights will change. Once the machine has finished rinsing. You will have a steady water light and a blinking green light. Put your tank back on with fresh water, then push the water button(far right), then open the knob for water. The red light should go out, and the machine will heat again.

Solis Palazzo coffee coming out weak & cold, water from nozzle is hot! Any ideas??

HI
There could be other things wrong but usually when the water temp goes down, its because you are starting to get scale build up in the boiler. This insulates the water from the heat. What do you have your water hardness set on. It should be set on the max, with all the lights lit. Check it by pushing and holding the small cup and water buttons. While holding them down, turn on the machine. Release the buttons and your ready to program the machine. Water hardness. The pre-ground button sets the water hardness. Push the pre-ground button (scoop) and the lights at the top of the panel should light up one at a time from left to right.. Always set the hardness to the max. Turn on all the lights on top. The machine will tell you when to descale. It’s better to descale more often than not enough.

Solis Palazzo Espresso Machine

The machine is still stuck in the descaling cycle. You must open the steam valve and let all the liquid drain from the tank. This takes approx. 45 min. because it comes out intermittenly. After this is complete all the front buttons will flash. Close the steam valve, rinse the tank, then fill it with fresh water. Open the valve again and let all the water drain from the tank again. This time it will only take a couple of minutes. After it has completed close the valve and the machine will return to normal operation.
