Need new ip and mac adress for sb5100 motorola for southwest

HI i beleive you are looking for a user name and password for the motorola sb5101i

here are the username and password for the modem which are default

USER NAME:-ADMIN

PASSWORD:-leave it blank>>press login(this should work)

DEFAULT IP FOR YOUR MODEM:-192.168.100.1

IF THIS doesnt work try to turn off the modem and turn it on back...this might work

or else you can try to reset the modem,once this is done you might have to reconfigure the modem...contact your internet service provider to set it up

Surfboard HATE it if you don't have the ethernet plugged into the computer or router plugged in BEFORE you power up the modem. If you unplug a surfboard's ethernet cable it will just stop talking. You need to plug it into a device and then power it up.

go to the network connections page on your computer, then find your connection and right click it and move down to status... there should be a tab that says support... click it and you should see the ip address assigned to your modem by the ISP.

Have you rebooted your modem after hooking it up? Each time you move your connection from your modem, it must be rebooted to issue new information specific to your equipment. Also, make sure you haven't pushed the "Standby" button on the top.

you need to register the modem MAC id to your ISP and do the regular physical connection (Co-axial cable to the modem ). it will work
