I take it that you mean that your ink absorber is getting full. You are looking at an aprox. 75% strip of your printer, the absorber sits at the bottom right had corner of the machine and it is a long drawn out procedure.
There are instructions for replacing and cleaning ink absorbers on You Tube and also instructions for resetting the printer. It is too involved and lengthy to try repeat here. Try looking at:-

1. Hold RESUME then press & hold POWER
2. Release RESUME, then press it twice, the light should go amber then green again.
3. you're now in service mode (you can release POWER now)

for reset waste tank reset is 4 presses of the RESUME button. To confirm, press POWER once.

You do not use lubricant on printers. Clean all roller and bars with Q tip and acohol. Make sure alcohol is squeezed out so it does not drip inside printer. The noise should stop. If it does not it is the belt that drives the capstans (rollers) that is worn out.

Yes just open up and spray with WD40 it not harm it but clean off over sprays or get on you paper

Had the same problem with mine. Shook it upside down and cleaned it with air cans after reading this solution for other canon printers:
