I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOUR MACHINE.
I HAD TO TAKE THE FRONT PANEL, INCLUDING THE DOOR, TO INSPECT A DRYER BELT RECENTLY. IT
SEEMED I COULD HAVE REPLACED A BELT IF I HAD TO. CHECK TO SEE IF YOU NEED A BELT OR IF YOURS NEEDS ADJUSTING AT BELT TENSIONER/
SAFETY SWITCH. YEARS AGO, I MANUALLY TURNED OUR OLDE DRYERS DRUM, THE WRONG WAY FROM
INSIDE THE OPEN DOOR. THE DARN BELT CAME OFF THE TENSIONER. THIS MAY NOT BE A PROBLEM WITH CURRENT DRYERS.

you need to remove the front panel and kickplate (if you have one) This will allow you to detach the front of the top of the dryer and you can prop the top up while you replace the belt around the drum, down to the drive belt. Here's a link for your make and model. It shows an exploded view of the parts of your dryer. http://www.partselect.com/MultiModels.aspx?ModelNum=dde7100&searchTerm=&RefineSearch=0. This can help you figure out what parts you might need and how things go back together. Good luck!

First, make sure you are using the proper belt. For your model
DBXR4630WW that would be a part number WE12M29. Next, the grooves of the belt touch the drum. Now, looking at it from the front side, the belt goes from the left side of the drum directly to the motor drive pulley, then around the tensioning pulley, and then back to the bottom right back around drum.

SOURCE: How do you change belt on GE dryer model

You have to open the door right where the door closes if you look up you'll see two screws take those out and the top just comes off by lifting it up and then on the inside if your in the front of the dryer the screws are pointing to you so once you got the top look at the front panel but from the inside and at the top you'll see two screws one on left one on right take them out and grab the front panel and just lift it it sits on two little hooks or screws on the bottom i usually lift right and than left or left then right.
You will now have access to slide the new belt around the drum and ready to mount on the motor pulley and idler.
Pull your dryer from the wall and remove the back panel by the vent outlet.
You will see a diagram of how belt mounts over both pulleys, follow instructions and reinstall everything the way it was.
GOOD LUCK!

Is there a thermal fuse on my GE 150 dryer it broke a belt and the dryer motor will not run

Locating the Thermal Fuse
In GE dryers, the thermal fuse--sometimes called a safety thermostat--is located behind the drum on the inside of the dryer. ... Look inside the dryer, behind the drum, to find what looks like a round metal pan. This metal pan is actually the dryer's heating element housing.

I need to know to route my dryer belt on my GE dbrl33ee2ww dryer as the belt slipped off and I did not see the correct path

Hi Roy, W/D here. I wrote this earlier for another person, but it works just as well twice.

You already have the diagram! (Bear with me).

Make sure that your power is off.

If you look carefully at the drum, you can see where the old belt was running.
Place your new belt in that position.
Now, place the belt over the motor pulley (It is in the same plane as the belt position on the dryer).
Pull the tensioning pulley past the belt, and ease it into place.
Roll the drum several revolutions by hand, just to get the belt tracking completely right.
Put it all back together and you're done!
Best regards, --W/D--

How come when i changed the belt there is so much play on the new belt im not sure if i have the idler tensioner on right ?

That could be the problem look at how the belt is running thru the tensioner and the shaft of the motor. Then run the belt the opposite way if still the same you might have the wrong belt. Get the model number off the dryer and take new belt back to parts house with model number to make sure its right hope this helps.

GE DRYER WON'T TURN ON

when you changed the belt, you had to take it apart and remove the front of the dryer am I correct? If so when you put it back together did you make sure to re-connect the wires that go to the door switch? Those wires are the only ones that you should have disconnected to remove the door along with the front. See if you forgot to re-connect them ok?
