A few things to check, float level , the float must fall to the bottom of the bowel when empty and shut off the fuel when at the correct full level. Make sure the accelerator pump linkage in not worn and injects fuel into the manifold as soon as the linkage is moved. The float level is most important as it controls the volume of fuel in the bowel.

I agree, jumped timing. Check to make sure the dist is tight. Than check for tdc on the #1 cylinder. When the #1 cyl is TDC the rotor should be pointing to that wire on the cap. Take the cap off while checking. Also is easier to turn motor by hand without plugs in motor.

SOURCE: Have 2002 Nissan frontier. Recently

Your not charging,do you see the engine junction fuse box, look for any open fuses(big ones),On a 2002 Frontier the alternator cable goes to the engine fuse junction box before the alternator, you may see a open fuse (big ones), also you can purchase a voltmeter and test the charging system in the car yourself

I rebuilt my 6o5o nikki carb on my snapper leaf blower and it wont start any ideas on how to fix this

Have you tried spraying carb cleaner or straight fuel in carb and try to start. this will show if it is a fuel issue. You also may have to adjust the carb if it has a high and low or idle screw. Also could be the kill switch. How about the fuel lines are they connected correctly and is the fuel filter connected correctly.

Fuel over flows thru overflow tubes only when motor is running. motor off ignition on it stops.

Hello
Your gas tank petcock is diaphram operated.
there is a vacuum line coming off the intake, that goes straightb to the petcock.
when you turn the motor over a vacuum is created, pulling the petcock diaphram back and allowing fuel to flow to your carburetor. when you turn the motor off the vaumm is gone and the spring behind the diaphram pushes it closed and stops the fuel flow to the carbs.

Now the reason the carbs are overflowing is because the floats valves are not closing, in other words the floats are sticking.
Usually a good carb clean will cure the problem, especially for that year.
the older ones usually require new float valves/seats that are usually found in a good carb rebuild kit. You shouldn't need one.

If your really broke try tapping on the bowls of the carburetor lightly, while the engine is running, sometimes the vibration will vibrate a particle loose that may be holding open the float valve.
if it works then the fuel should stop overflowing while running.

if you know how to work on it, try this, with the engine off.
open the carburetor drain screws so that fuel will run out the carb. drain. flush out the carb.
get a container to catch the gasoline.
while fuel is flowing tap the carb bowls a few times then closed the drain screws.
clean up any spilled gasoline .
start your bike.see if they stop leaking and the floats are closing.
if it still leaks, you'll need the cleaning.

Happy Riding

Mariner 25 hp 2 stroke hard to start then quits and won't restart

It sounds like the float is sticking in the carb. Since the carb is higher than the fuel tank it pulls the fuel in by vaccum of the engine. when running at high rpms, it can burn the fuel thats flowing into the carb, when you idle down, the bowl of the carb is filling up with fuel faster than the engine can burn it and causing it to flood. Then when it shuts off at idle it does not want to start back up because it is flooded. To make a long stary short, pull the carb and give it a good cleaning and your problems should be solved.
