I have a pfaff 1229 that has decided to stop working, the light comes on but nothing works the fuse and pedal have both been changed

SOURCE: pfaff 1222 and pfaff 1229

Have a certified repairman look at the power board in the machine. The power supply circuits are broken on the board itself. Can be repaired with wire and solder. How do I know? Just fixed my wifes 1229 that had the same problem.

P.S. New boards are NOT available from PFAFF or anyone else

I had this same problem with my Pfaff 1222E. It happened after I dropped the foot pedal pretty ******* the floor. Luckily I had another 1222E and opened up both foot pedals to compare and sure enough there was a piece in there that shifted and was toughing what is was supposed to so I just had to move it back over and it worked perfectly!

You will find several images of how to thread your Pfaff Synchrotronic 1229 sewing machine in the instruction book for the machine, starting on Pages 6 - 9 (PDF images #10 - 13) of the manual (PDF format) here:

I have a Pfaff 1229 Synchrotnic machine and need an FF2A fuse and cant find one anywhere?
Go to Amazon and try typing FF2A into it's search box. Measure your fuse and compare it with the sizes listed in the description. Best of luck to you.

Maybe in the stitch pattern you have chosen it won't go unless another has matched it. My Pfaff did this to me the other day. Puzzled and decided it was the first time I used that stitch. Changed it, and it worked.

Where do you oil the PFAFF Synchrotronic 1229?
1229 or majority of PFAFF's needs to be oiled in the bobbin cage and nowhere else.If you start oling the gears lint will build up and slow your machine down. So only apply a few drops where where the bobbin is attached to.

PFaff 4862 just quit - What should I look for? I was sewing - it just quit. Unplugged and replugged, changed to a different outlet, opened and closed the little door - would not start. Waited a while. Would not start. The light does not come on. It did run for a bit, but quit again. Could there be a broken wire in the foot pedal, that door switch, or the on/off switch? Help!!
