Question about Electrical Supplies
I have fixed the wire. Battery is charged, not a fuel issue, checked fuse inside the ignition box and it is good. Oil is good. Can't find any other fuse or breaker on the engine side. Any ideas on what would suddenly go bad as a result of a short to prevent the engine from cranking? What could have blown?
If you had a direct short when you engaged the starter and it didn't blow a fuse, it most likely blew/melted the contacts in the switch. This can be easily check with a volt/ohm meter. If you check ohms across the switch terminals, the reading should be zero ohms; otherwise, you could be reading the carbon inside the switch from were it blew. Or, you can ground the black meter lead and check the voltage on the terminals with the red meter lead. Should have 12vdc (on a 12vdc system) on one terminal and zero in the other until switch is engaged and it should read the same reading within a few decimals.
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: engine won.t turn
hi can you turn engine over by hand [engine s not sezied ] and how did you test the battery and how did you test starter because if the engines not seized and you put a jump lead from your positive terminal off a good battery to a starters main terminal and it wont, turn over the starters faulty or there is no engine earth so connect the other jump lead from the negative battery teminal to the engine block and try again it will turn over if the starters good if the starter turns over with the jump leads check the small terminal on the starters wire is live when someone turns the ignition key if it is and the starter does not turn over then the soleniod on the starter is faulty if no live at small terminal then the ignition switch or starter relay are faulty best of luck yates2104546

check your ignition fuses but i think your problem is between your module and ignition switch if you got safty switches on there any one of them can cause that also.

SOURCE: Acura Tl 2005 won't start
This vehicle is equipped with a chipped ignition system. On your dash warning lights, when turn key into on position you'll notice a yellow key symbal, it should flash then go out. If it flashes then goes to solid on, it means the system does not recognize signal from key. This can be because of wrong key(original valet key will not start car) or key for whatever reason has been deprogrammed. Which can only be done by dealership unfortunately. If system is working(light does go out) then you need to look at possible brake switch sensor,park/neutral safety switch on shifter, and for signal at started when key turned to start position
