Rebooting erases everything in RAM Memory. EPROMMS can't be reprogrammed by you.

SOURCE: memory card not working? ( fuji finepix Z20fd Digital Camera)

Hi there.

When you start using a memory card, you must format the card in the camera first...using the camera menu. If you don't the camera won't read the card properly. Try that and I bet it will work for you.

SOURCE: How do I clear the SD memory chip so that I can reuse it?

you can probably clear it manually on the camera by going to the menu and looking for a delete or clear option.

SOURCE: We insert a memory chip into our Kodak EasyShare

Your camera is only supporting SD/MMC Cards (up to 2 GB) and KODAK SDHC Cards (up to 8 GB).
The card that you currently have might be faulty. Please try another card.
You might also need to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.1: Menu, Cam settings, Chose AUTO or SD card option Press OK
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.

Probably the first thing to try is formatting the card. There should be a function in the setup menus to do this. If it won't format or gives an error when you try the card may be incompatible. SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. Some cameras have a capacity limit, and won't work with cards that are too large (in memory terms).

My camera is saying its full what do i do it wont let me take any pics what so ever

I had the same problem with my cannon. my guess is that your memory chip could be full or not working. remove your memory chip, stick it in your computer memory slot and download and erase. that should work. if not go out and buy a bigger memory chip. hope this helps

I have new tablet and camera doesn't work

The storage card (aka memory chip) is not necessary to use the camera. If the camera is not working on the tablet, then there is something wrong with the tablet itself. Return it and get a different unit from the store at which you bought it.

When putting in new memory chip (up grade) in the inspiron 2200...will it erase all the programs already on the computer?

No it will not erase programs, a memory chip is used when power is on your hard disk holds permanent data.

Photos are accessible on the camera but not on the chip to download. how can i get them onto the little chip? And how did this happen? I've taken 100's of photo's and just pulled out the chip, plugged it...

If , when you pull out the memory card, you don't use the "safely remove hardware" function, you run the risk of corrupting the card. If you use the computer to erase the card, you run the risk of corrupting the card and causing it to not work properly in the camera. If your pics are safely downloaded into your computer, try formatting the card in the camera to get it to work again.

Will replacing the car battery clear the computer chip?

No, it will not clear the computer. You can safely replace you battery and not worry about the computer chip being cleared. This will no more erase the memory from the computer in your car than unplugging a computer will erase the hard drive on a PC. The ECU memory is programmed in and will not be erased. It may erase the radio code & presets and require you to insert it again but that is all.

Long beep error on startup

try cleaning up the copper terminal of your memory card with a pencil eraser, do it carefully by avoiding contacts with the chips or I.C. carefully swipe the eraser on the copper terminal only and if your sure that it is already clean, carefully wipe the teminal with a soft cloth again avoiding contact with the chips. if the problem occurs again, buy a new memory card.
