SOURCE: Casio CE-T100 Cash Register

Hi.
You might have compulsory amount tend turned on.
If you press SUBTOTAL, then type in the amount on the display (no decimal point), then press ca/amt, does it work? If not, then you may have mucked up the cash button settings. Does it work if you use another payment type like CREDIT CARD?

SOURCE: Sharp electronic cash register XE-A203 - keeps printing receipt

I don't have this particular cash register, But I took a look at the manual and I recommend the following:

A. Turn the cash register off.

B. Unplug it.

C. Remove the batteries.

D. Wait at least five minutes.

E. Initialize the cash register. This procedure was copied from thwe manual:

In order to operate the cash register properly, you must initialize it before operating for the first time. Follow this
procedure.

1. Insert the manager (MA) key into the mode switch and turn it to the REG position.

2. Insert the plug of the AC power cord into the AC outlet. The buzzer will sound
three times.

IMPORTANT: This operation must be performed without batteries installed.

3.
The cash register has now been initialized. The register display will show
"0.00" and then “NO BATTERY”.

If the buzzer does not sound when the plug is inserted, the initialization has not been done
successfully. (This will occur when the voltage is high because you operated the cash register
before starting initialization.) Wait at least one minute after pulling out the plug and insert the plug
again.

F. Download trhe manual from here:

http://www.ormsson.is/skjol//skrifstofutaeki/xe-a203,213,303_manual.pdf

And proceed to program your sales tax (or VAT), departments, clerks, etc.

SOURCE: I can't add a name to a department key on a Casio TE-2200 cash registetr

Make sure you are using the text layout in the manual if the text is not inputting correctly. Also, don't forget to use the double zero button when changing between text input and placement to the keyboard.

Casio SE-S800. How do you process a gift certificate as payment on it please?

I spent quite a bit of time researching this yesterday, but nothing was popping up in results.

In effect, the customer buys the gift certificate with cash or credit/debit card and they get a 'promissory note' by way of a certificate. That is recorded as your sale on the day.

When they redeem it, they are buying goods but not paying. You need something that records the sale amount figure and a method of payment that is 'this has already been paid' so isn't in cash or debit card/credit card as the payment. with my POS Tills (bar and restaurant), I always got the rep from the company I purchased from to program them. They do it from a laptop which is a lot easier and faster. Call the company and ask. If they won't help, set up a PLU Key that is marked Gift Certificate, make the sale to that and manually deduct it from Charge. Circle it on your X and Z-Reading and write the deduction on the tail with the days trading amount at the bottom of the Z-Reading.

Cash total $6,250.00
Gift Cert $250.00
Adjusted Total $6,000.00

It isn't going to be every day, so only take a few minutes.

Casio TE-2400 Cash Register- Keyboard Orientation

Hi. The previous owner just had PLUs linked to the depts that suited them. to link PLUs to depts,
Turn key to Program mode.
3 SUBTOTAL
1166 SUBTOTAL
Now type the PLU number you want to link. E.g if you want to link PLU 6, then press 6 on the number pad (don't press the actual PLU, just type its number on the number pad)
Now press the button marked PLU. It should be near the other function buttons.
Now type the department number to link to. Use two digits. E.g to link to dept 5, type 05 on the number pad.
Press CASH
Press SUBTOTAL
As for NO SALE button, does it actually show the command NO SALE, or NS on the display when you press it? It may have been removed from the keyboard. Does the drawer open when you finish a sale normally?
There is normally a setting in key features for VAT breakdown on the CASH button. Make sure this is set so that it prints the breakdown. Add on means you sell at a tax exclusive price and the tax is added on to that by the register. Add in means you sell at a tax inclusive price and want the register to show how much of it was tax.
Hope this helps. See how you get on.

Sharp XE-A102 Till. Am trying to set department 8 as a refund department for my small business but am having no luck as I don't understand what keys I'm supposed to be pressing for the ABCDEFGH entry -...

Hi. No need to with the 102. Sharp created a void mode for removing sales. Just turn the key to void mode (the infinity symbol. I think it is fully counter clockwise). Then ring up the item that you want to refund just like you did in REG mode. then finsh with CASh if you are refunding in cash. This will create a negative sale which refunds that item back into stock. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Link a plu to a department

Hi.
Try this:

Turn key to program mode.
3 SUBTOTAL 1166 SUBTOTAL.
Now type the department number to link to (two digits). E.g 01 for dept 1
Now press the double zero (00) button.
Now press the PLU that you want to link to that department.
Now Press SUBTOTAL

That should do it. You must have departments printing in your end of day report, or you won't see the linking.

Let me know if you have any problems.
