Connection my charger wont connect internally to charge the battery. If I wiggle it around the red light will go on but won't stay on -- I can't get in contact with Durabrand - the phone # on the DVD player is disconnected and I can't find their website.

The batteries won't charge. You might want to google around for replacement batteries.

First I'd try a factory reset. PRess the +, - and multifunction button for 6 seconds until the blue light flashes and it shuts off. When you turn them on next, it's in pairing mode and try again.

If it changes from red to green and stays green while being charged, it is just a sign that it is being charged and there is nothing wrong.
If it flashes back and forth between red and green while charging, there might be something wrong with your charger's connection.

Some chargers have 2 LEDs (lights), some have one. Both chargers have an LED that is red (or orange) when the charger is charging a battery and turns green when the battery is charged and the charger has dropped back to trickle charge mode or off.
On the charger with two LEDs , the extra LED is normally red to indicate the mains power is connected.

Whenyou connect the power adapter into the laptop, does the power LED lightup? If not then - The battery adapter or the adapter's power lead or the laptop's powersocket could be faulty. Check power adapter's DCplug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltageshould be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on thebottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that isprinted on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the adapter is OK thenconnect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/batterycharging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's powersocket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position thisLED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a drysolder joint where it is connected to the motherboard. This can be repaired but itrequires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket andrepair. If you cannot DIY then I suggest you get a quote first.

If your laptop won't hold a charge and you need to hod the connection in order for it to stay on, you may have a power jack issue. The power jack on the laptop may have been moved around from moving the laptop while connected or wiggling around the connection, and needs to be re-soldered back on the motherboard.

Also, just before taking that step, try using a different or brand new charger. Sometimes the pin inside a charger might be bent or broken, therefore not making a proper connection with the power jack.

If you wiggle the connection to the laptop and it feels a bit loose, then the power connection on the laptop itself probably needs re-soldering. This is a common problem with laptops. Unfortunately unless you can do it yourself or know someone you can, then it will cost quite a bit to get fixed outside of warranty.

Either the charger port on the phone is faulty or the charger itself. Try a different charger if you can and if this works, the dock is faulty, if it doesn't then its the phone. Pretty simple repair and most Treo repair centres will be able to do it.

Maybe your battery is dead and will not charge. Normally when you connect the charger the led must become orange after a few seconds and green when the battery is fully charged. If it stays red the battery is not charging.

have been having the same problem. Just pulled the lead out straight and stretched it and now it is charging red light on constantly. May have been a kink in the lead?
