The fused9G.F.C.I.) cord you speak of is probably the G.F.C.I. built onto these units by design, can you or someone you know get access inside the unit and :Hot-Wire" the units cord and, bypass the power cord ( Just To Test the Unit)and see if it stays operational then replace bad unit cord if this is it.
yes, if you press the test button and the breaker doesn't click then the breaker is at fault, another way to test this mechanism is to unplug it from the wall receptacle, then plug it back in, it should NOT power up immediately, until you reset the breaker, that is designed in to all G.F.C.I. connected cord and plug units, incidentally there are no fuses, they call it a fused plug...i.e. fuse/breaker, same difference except that this one is resettable, the fuse isn't.

Hi,
According to your problem, your new exhaust pipe may not compatible with your air conditioner. First check that the pipe is clean enough. You may have to clean the machine or it may need a repair. Contact with nearest service centre.

The manual states "This unit uses a fused power plug." Does this mean it is a regular circuit breaker as it has a test and a reset button on its end - The directions state - Press the reset button, insert the power plug into wall socket, press test button- you should hear a click if circuit breaker is functioning correctly, press the reset button until you hear another click - the circuit breaker is activated. Since all the sudden I get no clicks I imagine this plug type circuit breaker is at fault even though it was working last night ???
