Hi. I currently have an LG 42LN5700 TV, and when I turn it on, it flashes quickly and then turns off. I opened the tv down to the led backlights, and found that there are five rows of led strips and the three middle ones don't work. So I would like to know exactly which part to change. Thanks.

Check the backlight power/driver board. Also check the voltages on the main power board.

SOURCE: LG 32LN5300 LED TV that suddenly went to Black Screen no sound. Should I change out all three strips of LEDs?

This sounds more like a power supply problem than a problem with the backlighting, plus the lack of sound also would indicate something other than problems with the backlighting.

Testimonial: "I'm sorry, there is sound. I messed up the question when I tried to shorten it. No picture, black screen ... Sound does work ... but the LED lights just keep blinking on and off when the power is turned on."

LG 60UH8500 logo appears then screen is blank what would be the issue?

Updating the firmware and ensuring power to the TV, and make sure that the cables are plugged in correctly. Unplugging the TV and everything that is attached to the TV for about a few minutes to see if that makes a difference.

Backlight turning on and off - samsung 65 inch TV

The issue is one or more diodes in the back light are bad and the power supply is sensing the change in current flow and is shutting down. Finding the offending led's can be a tedious job. Pull the strip out and use a tester on each led or just replace all the led strips

No picture on my LG TV. Issue is either the LEDs or the LED driver on the Power Supply. LED+ sections on the Power Supply [62810801] give 79.3 volts. Is this a normal or a below power reading?

That is the right amount of voltage the issue is when one or more of the individual LED lights fail, the current changes and the power supply senses it and shuts down.

usually bad power supply, Where did you source your part? return/exchange it. Bad LEDs/ possible but not as likely, Tcon working if you can see images with flashlight. You must also have backlight on signal from main board ,check for 3 to 5v on labeled connecter on power supply. UPDATE---47" & 50" LN series. This model has had LED problems if your TV acts as described by Mr. Hughes in is answer to this problem you have bad LEDs
