Hold down the pilot valve knob and turn the arrow to pilot position push down on red button to allow gas thru pilot tube hold down and light keep button held down for 1-2 mins while pilot is on to heat up the thermocoulple then release and turn knob to on position.

I have a Reddy Heater 125T that when it drops to around 1/2 a tank it shuts off and the flame light flashes i cut it off an fill the tank to full an it will run till half a tank again then cuts off
check the tank for any blockage and check outlet pipe .

Have an rlp30 reddy heater, have spark and gas but will not light.
wile red button is pushed no flame or turns off when the button is released the flame dies ? if no flame tank is too small or spark isn't in far enough to catch gas . if flame is present with button down then the over heat switch on the in line thermal coupler could b bad u can check the over heat switch with a jumper between the two wires and if it stays lit you got it if it goes out then its the thermal coupler that's bad

My 150000 btu lp Reddy heater will not light. I put my magnaheilic gauge on it and when I turn on the switch the fan comes on and the spark ignitor sparks but the gas valve opens for a split second and...
There are two possible problems. A flame sensor or gas valve. Try replacing the flame sensor then if that does not work its the Gas Valve.

The gas pressure is way to high... you need to adjust the regulator to a low pressure or replace the regulator...

I have an empire corcho model 15-1. It will not light with the ignition button what are the possible problems? LP gas is to the unit.
ignition out of postion , it needs cleaning , end of ignition brunt off or too short, blocked pilot, ignition shorting out on heater causing short spark

Sounds like you have a bad gas hold on valve. I have a tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r4258201-fix_gas_reddy_heaters_will_not_continue which explains the problem, how to fix it and where to get the parts. Let me know if you need more help.

if its lit by a pilot your thermocouple is bad the purpose of the thermocouple it to keep the gas valve open

Wall mount propane heater ignites, but won't stay lit
I have a Reddyheat IWH16NLTD with this problem. When the heater fan turns on it blows the pilot light slightly up and away from the thermocouple causing the safety valve to close after the ceramic cools down. The manual says that low gas line pressure can cause the flame to rise too far from the thermocouple causing this problem, so either it is a problem with gas pressure, or it is an assembly plant problem.

Sounds like the thermocouple is not working or the flame is not hitting the thermocouple. It may take 30 seconds of flame or longer to keep it on. Check for a loose connection at the gas valve.

Either a 30# or 110# tank of propane will work. You might even get by for a short period of time using a gas grill tank, depending upon how cold it is outside.
