Cartridge Error My Lexmark P450 shows cartridge error. Please help

Make sure that your printer firmware is updated. Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark Firmware Update. Select your corresponding model to start the download.
Should the error message continue to display after successfully updating your printer, try to re-seat your black cartridge in the printer.

1203 error indicates a defective cartridge is detected. It would be best not to use your burnt black cartridge anymore to prevent further damage to the printer. Try to replace it with a new genuine cartridge. However, if error continues even with a new cartridge, please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance. Thanks.

This error is related to bad cartridge or damaged cartridge, first of all, remove all the cartridges, clean the copper contacts with a soft cloth dampen with alcohol/spirit/acetone. Also clean the contacts on the printer as well. It's also important to find out the culprit, only one of the cartridges must be causing the problem, so install the cartridge one by one and find out which one shows up the error message when installed, if possible, replace the defective cartridge if cleaning didn't help.

Your cartridge did not fit the requirements of your printer.

"Remanufactured cartridges" How do you define that?

Given that Lexmark does not support or condone the use of third party products in their printers.

When a cartridge is new from the factory, all of the components inside the cartridge are new.

When Lexmark sell a recycled cartridge, all of the components within the cartridge are ETN components (Equivalent to new).

That means all of the rollers have been change and the PC is new.

It seems you purchased a cartridge which has a defect.

Return it to your point of sale and see what happens with the next one.

Are you using a Lexmark factory new cartridge? If not then please try a Lexmark factory new cartridge.

Lexmark does not support the use of third party cartridges or refilled cartridges. Lexmark considers this to be product tampering and will void the printer's warranty if damage occurs because of the OEM cartridge.

It shows color cartridge is missing because either the cartridge is not well placed or it is not there.

When you try to run the Clean option from the Ink Cartridge menu, the following message may appear: Hardware Error 0504.

To resolve this issue:

1. Take both cartridges out of the printer.
2. Switch off the printer using the power button.
3. Disconnect the power cable from the back of the Lexmark X5150.
4. Leave the power cable disconnected for 30 seconds.
5. Reconnect the power cable and switch the printer on again.
6. Reinstall the cartridges. (Follow the instructions on the LCD screen or refer to the following document: How to Install the Cartridges in the Lexmark X5150)
   

If cartridges are not original or are refilled, use new original cartridges.

If the cartridges are new and original, try cleaning the metal sensor inside the cartridge carriage.

If still no luck , contact Lexmark using the number listed on the owner manual.
