After downloading owner's manual off of GE web site we found out that our's had been improperly installed. If the door doesn't lock it won't cycle. To re-set it can take up to 90 second's depending on the cycle. If you stop it before the cycle is done it will continue to beep 'till you close the dorr , touch the re-set button & wait 'till it re-set's.

Dishwasher does not turn on

This is a long shot but on some dishwashers and washing machines if the drain pump is faulty the machine will not power on. Not saying it's the case with yours but easy to check and nothing to lose

No power to control panel

Hello

Reset the panel. Shut off power to the dishwasher, and then turn it back on. This may cause the panel to reset, which may fix certain electrical problems.

Check availability of the control panel part. Find your panel's part number in the user manual or online. Some panels for older models are no longer available. If you are sure the panel is at fault, order your replacement part.

Turn off the power before working on the panel. You can unplug the dishwasher or turn off the circuit breaker for it. Confirm that the power is off before continuing.

Follow your manual to remove the old panel. Note the settings, jumpers and wiring of the old panel before removing it. Take a picture with a digital camera to help your memory.

Find your dishwasher's tech sheet. A tech sheet is usually included inside your dishwasher. You must remove the face plate and reach up inside the dishwasher to find it. This sheet has technical information from the manufacturer for your dishwasher.

Follow your manual to install the new panel. Try not to generate a static charge around sensitive electronic equipment, or the new panel may be damaged. Check the old panel to confirm any jumpers or settings.

Restore the power to the dishwasher. Run through the test sequence for your panel, if applicable. The instructions will be on the tech sheet. Load the dishwasher and do a test load of dishes.

My dishwasher stops mid cycle, beeps and the lights blink. I push start/resume and it starts and then stops mid cycle again. It hasn't finished a cycle in over a week.

I am doing all this and nothing! No lights turn on briefly, no short cycle begins..nothing. It will work 1 cycle then not a cycle, I have reset with turning off breaker, using the key sequence above, thought it was a drain issue, replaced the hoses. And here we are machine is not even a year old yet. Help

My 6 yr old Kitchen Aid dishwasher is leaving food residue

After checking all sprayer arms for clearance, and checking heating element and discharge pump, the problem was solved by replacing the small sprayer arm at the top of the washer. This small arm had popped off some time ago - obviously the water pressure was excessive for the small and unimpressive fastener. Luckily we had saved this piece, which I refastened with a strong aluminum non-corroding small bolt. Presto - now the water distribution is back to design specs, with sufficient water coming out under pressure from the mid level arm. Lesson: always look for the simplest cause first with the simplest solution. TCA

Maytag dishwasher MDBTT60AWW

if you can select different cycles such as rinse only and that light up and then if you change it to normal cycle and it light up,then that tells me you touch pad is working,Check your door switches if those are good and your touch pad is responding, i would replace cpu board. If you remove the kick plate there should be a tech sheet there you can put unit into diagnostic mode with a certain key dance if your touch pad is responding.
